Its February and we’re all starting to think of refreshing our homes, or even a complete redecoration if you have the funds! How drastic are you thinking? Dramatic impact? Perhaps adding a pop of colour as spring draws near… or what about the new in thing, painted ceilings. Let’s see this as the fifth wall. How fabulous to look up and see a marvellous delight of colour, from sunny yellow to the deepest darkest grey. Don’t be scared, get your dust sheets out, get that lampshade down. Lets get started! All you need is a decent roller and extendable pole, cutting in brushes, dust sheets, a ladder and of cause your colour choice. And don’t forget to buy a good paint as the coverage and finish will need to be top notch!
Michael Minn’s living room is exactly why we love a painted ceiling. White walls, black ceiling, round mirrors, velvet and leather. What a combination. I was chatting to Michael on Insta the other day and this has been painted like this for eight years – talk about trend setter! I can honestly see that this look is going to be around for a lot longer. So thank you Michael Minn’s for being such an inspiration.
Loving the blue vibe of the moment no problem, we do to and look how stunning this bedroom is. Designed by Claire Brody.
Peacock blue painted ceiling from Benjamin Moore and the walls painted in ‘Icing on the cake’. Wow what a paint name.
Pop of colour, no problem. Look how gorgeous the soft yellow sits with those fabulous concrete walls.
The green on this ceiling really does give a huge impact of saturated colour. The white walls large artwork and that stunning warm wood floor make this dinning room go from thats nice to wow look at me.
